The Legacy Project is an extended, extra-curricular task designed to encourage teams of students, from years 7-9, to respond creatively to a given theme.  Studentsat Mill Chase were invited to be part of the project based upon their exemplary attitude to learning, and their positive engagement with school.

Mill Chase Academy and Bordon Junior School read together

A group of our Year 7s and 8s at Mill Chase Academy enjoyed an afternoon reading this term with Year 4s and 5s from Bordon Junior School. Mrs Carter joined them on a  pleasant walk down to Bordon Library where all the children were welcomed by the librarian and given the opportunity to discuss and read books together.

It was the first of several scheduled shared visits to Bordon Library. The aim of the group is to strengthen ties with the younger readers in the local community, to encourage book-talk, and to promote a love of reading in all its many forms.

Langstone Infant School Year 1 pupils visit the Stacey Centre

The children in Year 1 at lansgtone Infant School recently visited the Stacey Centre as part of their ‘Let’s Grow’ topic. The children looked at different flowers that have started to grow and other signs of spring such as the buds on trees. The children learnt how to identify some different plants and all planted some broad beans and lettuce, that they brought back to school and took home with them.

Educate and Celebrate Week at The Flying Bull Academy

The Flying Bull Academy staff and children celebrate diversity at assembly by highlighting the importance of not judging or labelling people, instead reminding us that each of us are many different things, and that we are all an important part of our academy.

This was followed by a range of follow up activities & discussions.
